SA20 Expands Global Cricket Reach
PSL Schedule Betway SA20 has brought a wave of new life into South African cricket. It is attracting fans, nurturing talent, and aspiring to global recognition. It is a profitable league that benefits the country’s six premier grounds and Cricket South Africa (CSA). And it is popular on screens as well, with the second season of SA20 seeing a 21% increase in global viewership.
During Season 3, the League continued to build a sustainable platform for growth on and off the field. Its learnership programme helped 26 young industry talent – including four Laureus YES program recipients and six photography students – gain experience as part of the competition’s delivery team. It also raised R630,000 for its social impact partner, the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, which uses sports programs to help youth overcome limitations imposed by challenging social issues like poverty, homelessness, violence, drug abuse, and HIV. It also launched the inaugural Schools SA20 competition, which drew entries from over 600 schools across the country and crowned two Grade seven learners as champions in their respective cities.
